The push to minimize animal use in scientific experiments, driven by ethical concerns, faces challenges due to technological advancements and medical research demands. To address these issues, alternative solutions, including stem cell technologies like organoids, are being explored. This review highlights the potential of stem cell-related methodologies as alternatives to animal testing, discussing their advantages, limitations, and regulatory considerations. While these methodologies have shortcomings, further research could lead to their widespread adoption, offering societal and technological benefits while reducing reliance on animal testing.
