Neuralink’s first human patient, Noland Arbaugh, experienced some of the implanted electrodes losing connection about 100 days post-surgery. Despite this, Neuralink tweaked its algorithms to boost performance. The N1 implant, with 1,024 electrodes, helped Arbaugh control his laptop and play games. Neuralink aims to enhance functionality to match able-bodied users and expand capabilities to text entry and robotic control. Arbaugh expressed excitement over his new abilities, saying it gave him more independence and better performance in games
